Membership Process
All interested families are invited to attend an information night typically held between January and March each year. This is a great chance to learn more about our co-op community, ask questions and meet current members. Additionally, prospective families are encouraged to schedule a visit to attend a day (families typically spend an hour or two) at In Grace. This provides the opportunity for parents and students to sit in on classes and see exactly what goes on during a typical teaching day. Next, each family should review In Grace's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Cooperative Agreement and Code of Conduct together.
Once a family has decided that In Grace would be a good fit, they are invited to fill out the membership application via the website. Along with the application, a family should submit three personal references. References should be NON-family members and NOT current In Grace members.Feel free to give out the direct link to those you select for your references.
After the application and references are received, a member of In Grace will reach out to schedule a brief in-person interview with members of our Steering Committee. At this interview a request for authorization for a background check will be made. This is not something we enjoy asking for, but feel that it is due diligence in order to be good stewards of the children with which God has entrusted us. This criminal history background check is run only on the parent who would be attending our teaching day. The fee for the background check is to be covered by the prospective family.
